TRYOUTS 2025
GBN Boys’ feeder tryouts
Dates – September 15 and 17
Times – 6:00-7:00(3rd-5th Grades) 7:15-8:15(6th-8th Grades)
Place – GBN Field House
Season Cost – $1,330
There will be a $20 (cash only at the door) tryout fee. This will cover both tryouts, and if your child makes a team, it will be taken off the team fees.
The season will start with 1 day a week Clinics in October then we start practice in November (2 days a week) 3rd-5th grade will play in the ChicagoLand feeder league or the Play Hard Hoops League (you will need to pay a 1 time admission fee for these leagues that will count for who ever you want to bring to games) 6th-8th will play in 4 tournaments and select home and away games. We do our best to hire paid coaches, but we have a lot of teams, so if you are a parent who has Basketball playing/coaching experience, please contact Scott so he can interview you. scott.lidskin17@gmail.com
GBN Girls’ feeder tryouts
Date – October 8
Time – 7:00-8:00
Place – GBN Field House
Season Cost – $1,125
There will be a $20 (cash only at the door) tryout fee. This will cover both tryouts, and if your child makes a team, it will be taken off the team fees.
The girls will start practicing the first week in November and will practice 2 days a week. We are planning on having tryouts for 4th, 5th, 7th, and 8th grades(if your daughter is not in those grades and has interest, please email Scott scott.lidskin17@gmail.com. The girls will play in the Dytbl league and play in an end-of-the-year tournament, plus one other tournament/shootout.

The GBN Boys and Girls Feeder Basketball Program is designed to provide young athletes in 3rd-8th grade with the opportunity to develop their basketball skills in a supportive and competitive environment. Focused on fostering growth, teamwork, and sportsmanship, the program aims to prepare players for high school basketball while emphasizing skill development, fundamentals, and a love for the game. Whether new to the sport or looking to refine their talents, participants will benefit from dedicated coaching, structured practices, and game experience.
